The tall oak and beech trees of Castle Forest form a holiday area close to the lovely town of Dinklage in Lower Saxony. Close to the freeway 'Autobahn A1', it can easily be reached via the nearby exit Lohne/Dinklage. Despite this, it is quiet and idyllic and offers the best opportunities to discover the region and its beautiful countryside. Just 60km east of the Netherlands, the cozy Castle Forest constitutes a central junction among Münster (100km), Osnabrück (45km) and Oldenburg (70km). The next airport is located in Bremen (70km).

The land is flat and therefore it is just right for extended cycling tours. Dinklage offers many attractions like Dinklage Castle, after which the forest and our hotel are called, or Schweger’s Mill, a windmill and part of the Lower Saxon Mill Road. The Old Train station is home to the museum of local history. The nearby Vechta is always worth a visit. Cloppenburg Museum Village is the oldest museum village in Germany and specializes in cultural and rural history of the region. It is the perfect destination for culture enthusiasts.
